Anybody ever blew out there valve cover gaskets?
#1
My truck started running a lil funky....popped the hood and there was oil all over my firewall, intake and injectors
Then I see the valve cover gasket all pushed out....Anybody else have this problem? Maybe I need to get one of those breather oil caps?

Damn that sucks.. Are you getting blow-by? You still have your MAF right? If so, adding a breather to you oil cap or valve cover will introduce un-metered air in your intake, thus screwing up your trims, thus screwing up your tune.... Having a leak at the valve cover will do the same. If you decide to switch to breathers eliminate the PCV lines all together to keep the MAF or switch to Speed density....

Yea i still have the maf... i dont think there is any blowby....it just started running like a junk machine lol the afr on the wideband was all over the place! Thanks for the heads up I didnt really realize that would screw it up.....I just figured I got some oil in one of the connectors!

I did once when I put the check valve in my PCV system in backwards. Took about 5 psi of boost in the crankcase to blow out the gasket. Not sure how you would accomplish that N/A.
