Very good question Neil. My thoughts exactly. Also, is this a Crew cab or Ex-cab truck? I bet is has torque out the A$$!

 

With it being a 4x4, they didn't dyno it. Something about the drive system not liking the F/R wheel speed difference.

My truck is a crew cab, but it still moves right out. it'll burn the 285's right through first gear at will. <img src="gr_grin.gif" border="0"> Haven't had a chance to try a 4x4 launch yet. <img src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" border="0">

BTW, on my trip up to Tennessee I followed my sister in her 2001 suburban (with the 8.1L). 3 different fillups at the same time, 2 times within 1/2 a gallon (me using more), the 3rd time we used exacly the same. <img src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" border="0">

Highway driving at 80 MPH was 11.3 MPG. Seems decent to me, my '94 454 dually got 11 MPG stock at the same speed.

The 26 gallon tank on these shortbed trucks is a problem. <img src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" border="0">
