I just noticed... the Texas Speed link on the sponsors list. I live like, 40 minutes from there and never heard of it. I'm guessing they're pretty savvy about their **** aren't they? I was thinkin' of taking my heads to get a little work done when I do my cam swap. If anyone's worked with them I'd like some votes on them.

I feel stupid, lol. All the Z28 and TA/WS6s around here go there. Then again, driving though Sonic and revving your engine at a pack of TAs and Zs doesn't exactly make friends.

I know, I'm reviving this topic, because I finally got my new knock sensors in. Last night, I rolled up on a guy with a 2002 Silverado ECSB. We headed out and ran from a dead stop and from thirty up. From the dead stop I jumped him through first gear about half a foot, until he hit second and he pulled me until my headlights were at his door. Then it was pretty even from then. From thirty up I pulled him where his lights were at my door, cause he didn't drop his in 1, he left it in drive. But after it was all over, I stopped and talked to him. He claimed to be running a 6.0 with a CAI and TB Spacer, with a catback. Is there any reason why me 4.8 with echaust should have hung that well against his 6.0?

It was a 2500hd. No self respecting human being is goign to do an engine swap and only do an intake and a tb spacer.

What are you asking with all these questions? Are you trying to see if you have some kind of factory freak? You don't sorry. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the races you are doing are battles between 16 second trucks.

Why not just take it to a d-strip and see what it runs.

I appreciate you basically callin me an idiot, since I don't seem to know the difference between a 2500HD and a 1500. I must say, someone who'd go through the trouble to swap out the frame, suspension, body panels, even the badges, really must have wanted that 2500HD to look a whole lot like a 1500.

No I don't think I have some Factory Freak. I think it's possible that since it was a USED truck, it could have possibly been tuned before I got it, or something. I honestly dont care, just thought someone who knows a little more than me that's not a holier-than-thou type wouldn't mind having a friendly discussion about it. BUT, since I can see that's not gonna happen, I'll just not even bother to keep on with this.

And, next time I find a drag strip close enough to go run it, I'm going to, just to satisfy one of my wonders.

Sorry if I came across offended...

Adios.
