any ideas as to how to improve my stock chevy 4.8 liter

Depends how much you want to spend. For a good daily driver, a set of long tubes and a good exhaust, plus some electric fans and maybe a cold air intake. If you really wanted you could also throw in a nice cam, higher stalling converter, and maybe a set of heads. The sky and your wallet are really the limit. I would definitely recommend a tune from one of the sponsors if nothing else though.

If i knew then what i know now i would have swapped in a 4.8 with about 18 psi!!!!
