Default any Gibson users out there?

just wondering what is your opinion on a 3inch single in dual out Gibson? Do they give out the same performance as Borla and Magnaflow, or not as much?? And sound wise, how does it sound?

I had a Gibson 3"single on my '03 4.8L it sounded good but a little to quiet for me. Performance wise it's probably the same. My Borlas are nothing more than 12" cans with a hole on each end!

my buddy and I installed a SI/SO 3 inch system on his 03 z-71 tahoe. its a pretty mellow sounding system. good quality and not too bad of a price.

I had the Gibson Sport exhaust on my last truck and at the time thought it sounded pretty decent, that was until I put the Magnaflow rear Duels on my current truck, a major difference. It just sounds throatier, more growl, more like a truck. The Gibson sounded decent at WOT, but the Magnaflow sounds good all the way through the RPM range, and overall is a better put together system. Id go with Magnaflow if it were my choice.

I've had a Gibson single in, dual out on my truck for about 8 years now. When I had it with the shorties and the pipes exiting out the rear, it was too quiet IMO. Now that I have long tubes, SW cats, and eliminated the tailpipes (exhaust exits directly out of the muffler...gotta get some turn downs one of these days lol), it sounds pretty good. Nice and throaty, but not overwhelming. The system has held together nicely through many snow and salt filled New Jersey winters.
