Look for a job, open a checking account, and get a debit/credit card.

honestly if he's gonna make alot more power he's gonna need to swap to carb'd or swap in a gen3 motor.

that 383 kit looks nice though.

There's no such thing as a "free mod" in my opinion. All of the rediculous things people have come up with over the years and called "great" don't help anything. I can tell you what NOT to do:

1. Do not remove the screen from the mass-airflow meter.
2. Do not install a so-called "cold-air" filter kit that sucks hot air from the engine bay
3. Do not install a resistor across the intake air temperature sensor.
4. Do not install a throttle body spacer.
5. Do not install any kind of "vortex" generating device in the intake tube.

With that being said, when someone makes the decision that they want to begin modifying their truck and they come here for advice, it's usually done with a budget in mind. There is a limitless number of things that can be done to just about any vehicle, including an L31-powered pickup. The best way to get a few intelligent responses to your inquiry is to post up how much your friend wants to spend and what he wants most out of it. Some people would rather focus on sound, some on top speed, some on towing. Set some parameters. There are people on this forum capable of responding to you at something greater than a fourth-grade level, start over with some specific information and I think you'll get some better feedback.

I would like to know the same. I have a 98 2WD with 4.10's and would like to do a few mods to it.
