Another Throttle body mod

Any body out there cut the butterfly shaft in half (one side off) and notice any "bowing" of the remaining shaft? Mark Shaner told me about this, but I could never get a clear picture of why it bowes. If it was the suction of the MAP, then it would wrap the Butterfly around the shaft on one that isn't cut. I asked "well, is it the heat warp from cutting it?" he said "No, no, no." I'm clueless.

Because a nice round surface is airflow friendly. Eliminating 1 side all together would be better however. I just think in addition to porting and polishing the T.B. itself, I can get a little more bang by polishing the blade smooth and cutting the shaft, then go back with panhead screws with perfect flush end length...
