Default Another muffler question

Can anyone suggest a muffler that is a single in/out 3" that has as close to stock sound as possible but flows better than stock? Sound clips would be helpful. Thanks.

a giant magnaflow would be your best bet.

hooker aerochamber w/ cats = slight noticeable tone over stock.
hooker aerochamber w/ no cats = nice moderate rumble, loud @ wide open throttle.
also it's a straight through muffler.

You might want to get the Flo Pro Big Oval HD muffler, suppose to give you a nice gain and specifically designed not to resonate like many aftermarket mufflers do. A direct fit replacement is #1500.

Here's another option! When I had my 00 Silverado, put a stock Silverado SS muffler and tailpipe on my truck. It sounded good, gave a little move power and was stock quiet inside the truck.

+1 for the Flo Pro. Have a 5x11x22 Magnaflow right now and the Flo Pro is quieter
