I know the 6.0 bolts up and all but what about the 8.1? Anyone ever done this swap in a .5 ton. I mean that would be so wicked. Anyway, give some feedback, i would love to be the first to do this.

I'm not to sure man, maybe the 8.1 too big to fit in the 1500 silvy? Not to sure, wondered the same thing myself

may have to change motor mounts but you should have enough room to slip it in.

most people would rather just bolt-in the 6.0 instead of having to custom fab everything for the 8.1...most americans are lazy.

but im sure it'd fit, might hav eot massage the firewall some, i dont know the exact dimensions between the 2.

It has been done. I know this truck has floated around the web and was on Trucks, but I can't find any pics or info on it right now. Its an orange rcsb with black stripes. I think it is the truck used to advertise the Flipper Cowl hood for Keystone. I'll keep looking and see if I can find it.
