There isn't much info on the l92/l76 swap. Also not many people doing it. Did I miss something? I'm having a hard time finding info on certain things....

i did it and am going back to standard style heads. for a mild setup they produce some good results. but every stroker ive seen makes hardly the power they should unless the heads are ported. so basically it throws the budget out the door then.

I'm keeping the stock lq9 bottom end. The heads are shaved and ported and the cam is custom for the heads. We're expecting some pretty good numbers. I'm just kinda wondering why no one else went this route after seeing the amount of power possible. Do you really think I could have had the same results with a set of cnc'd cathedral type heads on the stock truck manifold and smaller TB?

no cause the stock truck intake is a restriction above 6k, also i sure hope youre not using the L92 truck intake. for what a set of ported L92s cost that flow more then needed you could have a proven head that flows alittle less but flow isnt everything. but for a 6.0 its pure budget thing, but if you were actually building a stroker i wouldnt think of using a L92 head again

Those heads are a good set of heads to use. They flow really well and there very affordable. We did a 408 with L92 stock heads and the car ran a 11.30. Now that was only shifing it at 6000 rpms and his stall converter isnt flashing right. Just like any setup u need to do ur homework and make sure u just dont throw stuff together.

I run them and i'm pretty happy. Definately a lot of head for the money. The reason you don't see the swap much is because you have to have a 4.0" bore so that rules out the LS1, 5.3, 4.8's etc. Honestly not many 6.0's out there that haven't had a head swap already.
