Default Am I expecting too much?

Lost a "challenge" today that I thought for sure I'd win. 08 Charger 3.5 HO took me (barely) from a stop. I know the car is stock as he is a good friend. Mine is as in my signature with 3.42 G-80. I had it tuned previous to the TB I-6 TC and the exhaust. Do I need a retune or am just expecting too much from my 4.8 ?

Digs don't mean that much on the street if you ask me. I can put a bus length on charger r/ts without my nitrous from a 30-70 roll, but from a dig, it's usually dead even. Unless you are 4wd or have drag radials it's going to be hard as hell to hook on the street in a truck.

Sorry? Racing is only done from a dead stand.

BTW, who did the tune??[/QUOTE] A local guy up here in S. Ontario did an 89 perf tune. Does good work from my SOP rating. Would the TC and exhaust changes after the tune be learned on it's own or would a retune make a big difference ?

Matter of opinion I suppose. Come to Austin where all they do is roll race. There aren't good enough streets around here in Lawton,OK to do dig racing. I suppose I see your point, but not many can afford to roll around with drag radials all the time.

I can vouch for the Lawton roads, unless you get out on 62 west or 7 east....but who the hell wants to go way out there? 62 is where the Sheriffs hang out and 7 is highway patrol...
