Default Alternative catch can....

I found something when I was messing with catalogs on tuesday but forgot to post this. CSR Performance has a pretty dam nice piece. Its actually a tranny fluid catch can. But IMHO it will work just as well as an oil catch can. Now my concern was oil climb. I called CSR and asked about removal of the end caps to insert some sort of mesh. They are on for good and the can already has a mesh inside of it. And its roughly the same size as the AMW. Bingo!

CSR part number 851. $75 on Summits site.

Oil puke cans are nothing new. That one is nice though. I ment to post something about that months ago but you can open up a Jeg's or Summit and take your pick on oil puke cans. Nothing new, been around for years.

That's a nice looking piece, especially since the AMW's have doubled in price in the last year or so (I was lucky enough to get mine when they were still "only" $90)

I've seen one like that before. It is just a oil seperator for a compressed air line like you would use in your garage. Paint shops primarily use them to make sure oil from the compressor doesn't contaminate the paint and cause fish-eye. You can pick one up from Milton or other brands at your local Carquest, Napa, or paint supply shop for around $40.

Looks to me like you could put that other fitting where that bolt goes in and make it work like a regular catch can. Probably would ahve to use different hose than what is supplied and maybe get different fittings too but the can and bracket look sweet.
