Default is it alright to turn motor upside down for a cam change?

hey guys, when i change the cam in my 6.0, since its gonna be on an engine stand for a day or two, i was wondering if anything would be affected if i turned the motor upside down? a buddy recommended doing that so i wont have troubles out of the lifters gettin in the way. just want to confirm the idea before i do it. and it will be empty of fluids of course.

Sounds like a good idea to me. Use gravity to your advantage.....

Turing it over won't hurt anything. You already got the fluid part figured out ( I did not one time and went thru a whole box of kitty litter ). FYI, the lifters are held in place by a tray of sorts. This keeps them from rotating off the roller path. If you remove the rocker arms and spin the motor a few revolutions the lifters will push up and stay there in the trays. Keeps them out of the way for cam changes. Nice not to have to remove the lifters every time!
