Default Alright boys, help me build a 6.0

Thinking of building up a 6 liter when I get through with school. Since I know this is the best cource of info, I'm asking for your help.

-I want a monster of a 6 liter. I want this thing to run damn strong N/A (preferably outrun my 4.8 which runs 9.4's in the 1/8).

-Then I want to supercharge it (Radix? Whipple?).

-Would like to run a Compucar dry shot for just in case.

-Tuning???

-Transmission work? Shift kit, servos, 65E???

Boys, lets have fun, keep the price semi-reasonable, and cover ALL the bases!!! Please include prices when possible!

Thanks,
Josh Hucks

* 4.060 overbored and align-honed 6.0 block (~$400 assuming you own the block...otherwise ~$1500)
* Callies 4.125" stroker crank (~$1500)
* Eagle Forged 6.125" rods (~$300)
* Diamond pistons...shoot for 8.8:1 CR (~$600)
* 216/220 .558/.563 112lsa cam (NA) stock Z06 cam for SC application ($400)
* Stage II 6.0 heads with 2.08/1.58 valves (~$2000)
* ARP stud the WHOLE motor (rods, mains, heads, exhaust) (~$1000)
* 65lb/hr injectors ( ~$550)
* Twin-Screw supercharger @10-12psi....a Roots type like the RADIX just doesn't have the displacement to feed something this big ($5500)
* SLP long-tube headers with custom "X" pipe, electric cut-outs, and Magnaflow race bullets...all 3" pipe (~$1800)
* A dry shot is a BAD idea...run a 75hp wet shot (but you ain't gonna need it) (~$400)
* 4L80E swap (with a BUILT 4L80E)....don't even bother with the 4L60E or 4L65E (~$1800 for tranny and ~$1000 to build it)
* MAJOR tuning to get this combo to run well (on stock tuning it wouldn't even idle) (~$400....have someone knowlegeble do it)

This combo would get you a 427 cubic inch 6.0 motor that makes around 450-500hp NA and probably close to 750-800hp SC'd (I'm probably low on those numbers....and those are rwhp numbers too !!!)

Yelo,
Yessir that's what I'm talking about! I like that parts list. Anyone else have other opinions? Any idea what kind of times that would run?

when you get that much going down the road the problem is traction and not breaking the rear. I would guess if you could get traction and run it. I am guessing low 11 high 10's. Havent seen something like that in a truck, I am hopefully going to be doing the same thing but a 408 in the future.
