no, pulse width modulated fuel systemn are actually on and off. the pump is only commanded on based on need. not all are like this. gm trucks are always on. also "reternless does not describe the gm system well. it still has a regulator and return side it is just in the tank.

white lightning ss hit on a good point about our systems being called returnless. They DO have returns and regulators just they're back by the tank.
I hate that they're called returnless because it's not accurate.
