Question alky/meth injection with Radix

I've been doing alot of reading over on the L boards, and quite a few people are saying that the coating on their rotors (which I believe are the same as the Radix) would flake off if sprayed with alcohol or methanol. Although I remember seeing rotor flaking issues on non "injected" blowers as well.

One person said that Ethanol is less corrosive, another said Isopropyl - anyone have any experience with this? The only person with an alky kit and Radix that I know of is dcairns over on the SS board ( http://www.silveradoss.com/forums/in...075&hl=alcohol )

I'm not going to be pushing a ton of boost with the 3.0, but I'd like to take advantage of more timing/octane/cooling with methanol....

Since you are going to void the warranty on the blower with the meth injection anyhow I would look into bringing it in AFTER the rotors.....AFTER the I/C core.

Just some food for thought.

Is the warranty void because of the use of meth in combination with smaller pullies, or is it void because of damage to the blower? And what damage does it do? Or is it a secret?

Its going to be really hard to get even distribution after the blower. It would have to be exactly like a direct port setup, and if I was going to that extent, I'll just spray nitrous

I just orded a kit monday and it's soppost to be hear today of tommorow. I orded mine from coolingmist and I think there web site is www.coolingmist.com but I'll tell you how the kit turns out. The only bad thing about it is it doesn't come with a progressive controler but our superchargers build boost so fast it's not like we need one anyway plus it only cost $239 for the whole kit compared to a $450+ progressive kit. Good luck and hope it works out

Here's some install pictures on a car and a small video at the bottom of the page to show you how good the kit makes the alky mist and thats the important part.
