Very cool. Thank you!!! That looks pretty trick. How difficult was the install?? Did you have to relocate anything to mount the tank there?? What was your total install time??
Cstchevy, ALK injection doesnt increase horsepower. It acts as an intercooler of sorts and allows you to safetly run more boost without detonation. Some use it as an added safetly measure when they are running the vehicle hard (at the track) or on hot days.

It's keeping down KR from high boost and/or timing. It allows to go higher in boost or timing without, or minimizing, KR. What I would like to know is just how much it allows you, but I guess only one way to test that. I would like to leave my boost alone, but run 3-5 more degrees of timing, or more, with one of these, above my normal setting.

Not ver difficult. Spent most of my time figuring out where to put stuff without cutting into things.

I put it there because there was a nice "hole" there. I forget how long it took, but like most projects, you spend more time figuring out where and how to do things than actually doing them. This kit is not specific to our trucks, so it is up to the user to figure out where to mount it and route wires, etc.

As far as how it performs, it seems to do nothing for me. I am only running 6-7 pounds of boost, so it seems I was premature in my purchase. In other words, the intercooler is doing it's job well enough that the alcohol injection is not a noticable improvment. Eventually I will go with a smaller pulley and then it will be useful.

Dave - bump your timing about 5 degrees, you'll have a use for it.

Yeah, I need to get Nelson going on a custom tune. Been spending all my spare time on my B-52 (R/C Slope Glider).

Put some Crown Royal in there, and it's in the 11s for sure.

smc kit is a well made kit. ive been running one on my grand national for about two years. able to run up around 18 psi on 93 octane, no probs. denatured alky with klotz lube to keep the pump lubed has been the ticket for me. Steve at smc is great to deal with.
