Default Alcohol leak through the air filter

Last night I finally found out where I was losing my methanol.

I had a puddle under the air cleaner. Apparently when I shut the truck off the alcohol is siphoning from the old washer tank, through the line under the crossmember, up to the air intake tube and then back out of the air cleaner.

I haven't been shutting off the Alky Control control box when I shut down the truck for the night. Maybe I need to start doing that before I shut the engine off?

If that is the case, you may wish to consider an in line solenoid that energizes when the meth pump kicks on. A simple $30 fix to prevent siphoning.

Cheap plug,...I have a brand new solenoid FS.

Alky Control tells me I need a vent hole in the filler cap. My kit didn't include a new filler cap, as it was supposed to, so they said to vent it. I'll try it when the truck is running again with the new 4l80e.
