as for noticing a difference, maybe, i installed the CAI along with my transgo and retuned nelson the same day so i can not really say on just the CAI, i can say with the CAI, retune, and Transgo it feels a lot better!!

I tried both the K&N and the Volant. The volant fit great compared to the K&N. Also I noticed a big difference in low end torque on the Volant. I also tried the Volant with the lid on and off. With the lid off, it seemed to lose low end torque, but felt stronger at mid-range. I called Volant and they told me that it was engineered for low end torque with the lid on, plus helps reduce cleaning as much. I love it!! Someday hoping that they will make a dry filter.
