Default Aftermarket higher cap. radiator

Anyone running one? It was really hot today and I noticed my truck running a bit warmer then I would like, nothing bad but I am picky and would like it to run cooler. Just wondering what people have and there opinions on them. It doesn't help that I have a big *** heat exchanger and tranny cooler in front either.

I would try a cooler thermostat before a custom rad...or the 34" truck rad. If you have both already I know Ron Davis makes a niece piece

34" radiator, e-fans, and a 160 t-stat with good fan settings should keep it cool even in very warm weather.

My truck will get up to 215-220 with the 34" rad with one fan on. about 205-210 with both efans running. ambient temp is about 105 right now. This is in stop and go traffic. It only gets to about 195 if Im constantly moving.

I have the Genesis 34" radiator all aluminum and the B&M trans cooler.
2002 Chevrolet pickup (c/k/silverado series) All Aluminum Radiator 6.0L V8 368 | All Aluminum Radiator | Chevrolet Auto Parts

I've also swapped to the 160* stat, and put a new water pump on for good measure. Recently we installed the 4000cfm Derale e-fans, and the temps have kept at low 180*s for the engine, and mid 170*s for the trans, and this is with both fans running.

The Ls fans that I had from the 5.3 were not enough for the 6.0, so it was in my best interest to make the swap.

Already have 34" rad as truck came with it (stock 6.0) I have a 160 stat and the fan settings don't make much difference when it's pushing 100 on mine. Still never goes over 195 in traffic. Will run 180 ish on highway.

Thinking part of my issue is that my harness is a nelson harness that is single wire, fans only come on high when AC is on. I want to be able to run fans on high with the tune. Looks like I may need to set mine up to be dual wire to PCM. Right now it will only turn on both fans on low. High only with AC. Cant run the AC because my compressor is bad.

I ditched the nelson harness. A relay burned after 2 months and drained my red top. Used a good relay to power one fan when the truck turns on and the other is wired to a switch on my socal gauge pod in the upper console. I'm still running the stock thermostat.
