Aerochamber or Spintech...5.3L
#1
This is what I plan on getting so far:
Edelbrock Shorty headers
Hi-flow cats (not sure of which brand)
New y-pipe
I want to ditch my Magnaflow 14" SI/DO because it's too quiet. I've been searching this message board over and over, and my personal choices are Hooker Aerochambers or Spintech (sportsman or pro-street). I can't decide. I favor the aerochambers, but I've heard they're quiet unless you cut the cats off. Which one sounds more aggressive on a 5.3L? I want it to sound mean, without much interior resonance. I'll only be running one muffler, and I will be using cats. This is on a stock 5.3 with a pcm tune. Which one would you choose for this application?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

I put a spintech sportsman street on my truck when it was stock, and it had a mean sound to it(at high rpms) and a mellow rumble at idle. It wasn't too loud inside or out. I get a few compliments on my exhaust here and there.

I have the "Super Stock- Race Quiet"
My buddy has the "Pro Shootouts" and they sound badass too!

Probably be about the same price after everything is done, and you with get an extra 20 horse, and of course have your tune tweeked.

Yes, if money isnt much of an issue, buy a set of Dynatech Supermaxx headers. Complete bolt in system, you can do it your self...but they are $1500.
Otherwise buy Pacesetters and have a custom y-pipe made.
