Your best bang for the buck mod if you are mechanically inclined would be to find a good 6.0 and put it in. The truck will run circles around it now and you will actually gain mileage because it is not laboring to pull the weight of the vehicle. You can also save cash by not having to do all of the bolt on mods if the wallet won't allow.

well like to haul *** into water puddles lol what i did is i swissed my air box, when i remove the head light its all flowing into the box

I just got back from the dyno and she put down 242.6 and 257.4. We messed around with timing and AFR and managed to pick up a few to 247 and 279.4. But under the curve, we picked up about 15-20 ft lbs and about 10 hp. Not bad for 2 hours and $100. I brought my own EFI Live, which neither the tuner or I had much experience with. Those extra FLX-440 fans I have fit my camaro perfectly, so I'm assuming they will fit the 5.3 radiator pretty well.

I've thought about this and what about applying outerwears material to the holes in the bottom of the box? Just attach some velcro to the outside of the airbox and apply a big sheet. The material is supposed to be very water repellent yet still flow air well. Wonder if anybody's tried this?

here is pic of said material (this is a radiator cover to YFZ450)
