Default 99 Silverado exhaust rasp.

I am having a problem with alot of rasp in the 2000-3000 rpm range. I have a single flowmaster hushpower with 3 inch exhaust. Obx headers and y pipe no cats. I was reading on the flowmaster merge y pipe about how it eliminates the rasp. Is this true?

Buy a resonator and install it before the muffler. The cats were like 2 small resonator but with them gone the rasp/drone is free to come out and play.

Some like small bullet mufflers or I've always used vibrant ultra quiet resonators to remove the rasp.

I need to install the resonators cause it's on the loud side. Ive been looking at the 8 inch glasspacks after the headers on both sides. Would the glasspacks work as good as a actual resonator?

Same boat here. I ditched my cats after rear o2 sensors were deleted and the truck sounds terrible. I dont have headers but i do have a similar style muffler dumped before the axle. This set up sounded decent on a camaro i had. However it gives the truck an old trailer park hot rod sound lol. I know the truck cam is different from the ls1 cam but i didnt think the sound would suffer so much
