i wrecked my 99 silverado last night. it was a 1500 with the 5.3. my questoin is would a 99 2500 with the 6.0 have more power and get up and go quarter mile wise? ik they have more power and torque but i also know they have more drivetrain loss and weigh more. they are both 4x4s lets here ssome pros and cons guys

well im torn between getting a halfton and a 3/4ton. ide like someone to persuade me one way or another haha.

 

it all depends on what you do with the truck.. if your looking to make it go fast then dont go with the 3/4 ton.. if you just want a truck that is a daily and your not trying to make a hot rod than the 3/4 ton would be a good option, it def has alot better drivetrain.. 4l80e and better rear end

 

ok, one more question. i was looking at an 02 crew cab gmc 1500 hd. 6.0 and all taht. my question is what is the differenc between that and a 2500hd?
