My dad has an 02 ext.cab Z71 with the 5.3.He mods are a K&N fipk intake,throttlebody spacer,hpp III,and borla exhaust.My truck is listed below.In yall opinion,Who do yall think would win in the 1/8 mile?His truck or my truck?The reason I ask is because if does not rain next Sat.night then we are goin to Navasota raceway to line them up.His truck hauls *** especially for a Z71.Off the line it seems kind of sluggish but once it hits 3000 rpm it starts pullin hard all the way up to 5950 rpm where we have it programmed to shift into 2nd.Who do yall think will win?Thanks guys

Well we raced today on the way to firestone to have his tires rotated and balanced.I git him pretty good off the line,about 2 car lengths and it stayed like that until we quit at 70mph.I was pretty happy.But after his hedders and throttlebody,he will smoke me.

His truck weighs 300-400 lbs more than your since he is 4WD and it's making a difference here.

He might come around you at the top of the track but then again you never know you have a lot of good parts on your L31.

If he just gets a cutout, my money is on him. With both of your mods in mind he has more HP and you have more TQ. Yea there is a weight difference, but that should be made up in gearing, your 3.42s vs. 3.73s.
