Nightmare?....You ordered a transmission and never gave me the year or vin number.. you want me, to build something to fit into a truck I've never seen and had no information about. We recieved 4 e-mails and two phone calls the word "truck" never came up till april 11.After getting the correct information your transmission is on the way.
We built you an ls1 transmission then my guys found out it was a truck. We then built and sent you a 97. Then we find out that it was a 99.Then before you even get it we found out it's the wrong one.
Yes we dropped the ball by not getting enought infromation about your truck... it was unintentional, no one is picking on you, we didn't signal you out and decide to screw you...We haven't stolen from you, misrepresent anything to you!
When talking to you on the phone you never muttered any displeasure whatsoever. Nightmare I think not, mistake yeah. And I might add We, not you... discovered and corrected our mistake. I hope this helps..Dave

Ummm....Wannagofast never mentioned "nightmare" in any of his posts if you read again. Plus I don't blame him for being concerned.
My question is how can you order and built a transmission when you have no idea what its going into to begin with? That should have been the first question to ask him and none of this would have happened.

I have to second that one.
How in the course of taking the order did you (or the person in your employ) not find out the application information? I'd think thats kind of important.
I would have expected you to be asking for info like:
What vehicle? (year and model)
Engine? (5.7l LT1, 5.7 LS1, 4.8, 6.0, etc)
Tranny model (60E, 65E, 80E, 85E)
2wd / 4wd / Awd?
How much power are you making? (the tranny for a LSx 408 dynoed at 500rwhp is gonna be quite a bit different than a stock 4.8l, don't ya think?)
What stall converter are you using? (Don't know that it makes any difference, though)
Any specific modifications you want us to make? (Vette servo, upgrade to 5 pinion planetaries, whatever)
I don't mean to be critical, but your posting has made your shop look like a bigger 3 ring circus than Wannagofast or 02Denali ever could have (and Wannagofast wasn't trying to).
You might want to work on that order taking process. In this particular case you've spent extra hours building 3 transmissions (instead of 1), extra money on shipping (which I bet Wannagofast won't be covering), and done damage to your reputation. Those hidden factory costs get to be pretty high (here it strikes me that this sale is probably costing you $250 in direct shipping costs and lost opportunity costs and who knows in potential lost revenue from lost sales).
Not a sermon, just my $.02

Hey Just dreamin,
Your right, I stand corrected, I and my people made a mistake, we are sorry, please forgive us, we'll never let it happen again. Your right, I'm hoping that my company can survive the public humiliation, it's embarrassing and I am sorry, it's my hope that we can overcome this blunder, I do solemly hope that God himself will forgive me,and see it fit for me to work once again. I have learned from this & removed two people from my employ for this horriffic mistake!!! We produced 26 transmissions this past week and we dropped the ball on one. I miss read one post, for that I am sorry wannagofast!! I do hope this helps....just my two cents...Dave
P.S.To anyone else that I have offended I'm am truely sorry, I have no axe to grind with anyone, I have seen the error of my way, all I want is for everyone to jus forgive me. I beg forgiveness from all parties involved.

I just read all of these post, The last one I made was the last one I read because I wasnt on the next few days. I just want to say that Dave is a very nice guy. I have talked to him a few times and all of the problems were solved. I dont want any one to think that he is trying to rip any one off or any thing like that. If any one took it that way I'm sorry and I didnt mean it like that. I appreciate every one for helping me with my concern, and dont want any one to put any one down or have any hard feelings. I know that every one make mistakes. I will be sending this tranny back to get it fixed for one of (MY) screw ups. I mean **** happens! Hope this didnt hurt Dave's buisness in any way. I give an A in costmer suport. Thanx all you guys!
