Default 97 and up, Same tranny?

I ordered a tranny from RockOn last wednesday, and 1st they built one for a camaro and never called when it was going to be shiped out like he said. He told me it was going to be here tuesday of this week and when I called back he said they were building another one because he forgot it was going in a truck? Now the new one is suposed to be here friday and he asked if my truck was a 98. I told him no its a 99. He replied that the 97 and up are the same tranny's. Is this true or will I be sending it back?

I don't know about the trucks but, the 98+ Fbody transmission is different than the 97 back. I believe it's the input shaft that is different because a LS1(98+) converter will not work in a LT1(97-93) transmission

The transmission for a traditional small block is different from the ones used in our trucks. The bellhousing flywheel and converter are different. The 97 transmission won't fit your truck.

i think it might bolt up but you will not be able to use all the bolts that bolt to the engine due to all the holes not lining up. you need to call and bitch. he will be putting in the shafts i suppose but i think that is swapping parts to take care of the situation at hand.
