Question 93 octane with HPP III and Preditor?

I have been told by a friend that when you run the tune on the HPP III or the Preditor that you have to run 93 octane. True/False?

Predator yes, HPP no. The Predator only has one performance tune that you can tweek with the Spark and Fuel Enrichment settings but the HPP has an 87 and 93 tune.

WITH THE 93 TUNE YOU MIGHT BE GETING kr WHICH REDUCES YOUR TIMING

i agree with the kr thing, some people don't realize their trucks have two octane tables, the truck does'nt use one or the other exclusively but if it encounters kr in the high table it will look for the value in the lower table for that rpm and airflow. if you run crappy gas and both the tables have been adjusted for more timing it will still kr and pull timing killing your gain. imo if your bothering at all with performance mods, run good fuel, you will get better gains. also running overall lower engine/ intake temps will reduce the chance for detonation. e
