Will he be able to use the 90mm SSR TB. Have you figured out a way to make them work?

I guess the real question is if the stock MAF with screen is a restriction in a 90mm/4" intake system?

I thought I had to change my MAF when I did my LS2 swap, but everything fit perfect and you should be o.k. with your stock MAF sensor. I took the screen off, but just make sure you get it tuned to make sure your A/F is on the money. The O/D on the 78mm is the same as the 90mm but the inner diameter changes. At least that holds true with my truck. My K&N kit fit like a glove on the 90mm LS2 TB.

I just went out and dug up my stock MAF. It is 90mm I.D. at the most narrow point.

I read that the gains from descreening the MAF are insignificant. Largest gain seen was 4hp. And it can really mess up the airflow measurement. This is by an automotive engineer/custom tuner.
