Default '88 Chevy Question

On the '88-'89 chevy truck motors, did they use reverse cooling ? I found a used truck that someone dropped an older carbeureted motor into and I would like to convert it back to EFI, but didn't know if the EFI manifold would bolt up or work.

Thanks,
Ernest

Actually the 88-89 were not reverse flow pumps. The first motors to have a reverse pump was the LT1. The 87 truck motor was the samething, the only difference was the multiple belts in 87.

That is correct. My GEN I engine is not reverse cooled but the GEN II(LT1) is.
