I have got a set of 862 5.3 heads that I can get milled down to whatever I want really cheap.
My question is how much would I mill them to? And would I need to worry about ptv?
The motor is an 06 lq4 with a 230/236 591/601 113lsa. I want a decent c/r
I am running a 150 and 91 octane gas.

 

it won't be worth it.. You will prolly lose power by putting worse flowing heads but more compression.. Unless they have been extremely worked

 

Would it be better to have the 317s I have on there now milled to bump the c/r?

 

Try to get some 243's or 799's

 

What do those run for a used set these days?
