well the spacer plate is solid and blocks off the pcv and iac holes on the intake. so the ? is will this hurt performance?? the plate comes with the bbk and is beveld down from 80mm to 75mm for the intake so the blade doesn't hit the intake. http://www.bbkperformance.com/produc...e-bodies.shtml its the 8th one down so that you can see the back plate it comes with thanks , kevin

So it does bevel down then! I wondered how it would mate up to the smaller opening of the intake. The stock throttle body is like 68mm when I measured it, so I wondered why they went so big, when the opening and the rubber built in washer were not that large! Does the rubber washer fit flush where it tapers down to 75mm? Do you have one of these?

If that plate does block the IAC and PCV..... That doesnt make much sense to me. If the IAC is blocked off, is that tiny hole in the TB plate big enough to let the truck idle? Maybe im missing something!?!??!

well the bbk will work without the spacer plate but the idle stays at 1500rpms and no way to adjust it! tried and set off code! will check tomorrow when i meet up with 02denali. later, kevin

But the BBK usually causes power loss/time loss. Kevin seems to go faster w/o the spacer but the idle is high. GOOD thing you didn't drill the holes like I said!

well the code of corse was a high idle and also a trans code due to it shifting so hard into drive but thats taken care of now. Well i talked with the "tech" at bbk today and he told me to disconnect the battery for 5hrs or more and then hook it back up and see if the idle comes down well yes it did but idle is still high. So after sitting and talking with the neighbor about it "light bulb" came on lol stock T/B has a small hole in the blade and the BBK has a 1/4" hole above the blade so im going to plug that hole temporarily and see if it brings the idle down. later, kevin
