That's good info James ...

There is a spring they are saying goes in the pump though. They don't mention anything about drilling in the first picture .. I think just the second picture they mention.

This entire page can be skipped if the trans is staying int he truck.


Some of that stuff may not be part of the kit you have.

The pump springs are covered on a previous page where it shows the bottom view of the trans.

I think that's what they are talking about. Hughes didn't list that as optional. I figured since it's out, if it NEEEDS to be done I would try and find a place to do it. I wasn't sure if that might be something it would need with the bigger converter to keep from burning up or what ... that was my biggest worry.I think from what I've gotten here though, it should be OK.
