Will the 8.1 injectors support 400-450hp? I've seen some conflicting numbers on their flow.
I really don't want to pony up $400+ for new injectors that are waaaay to big for what I need.

Scream.I was reading some current rag artical and they built a LS1 and install what i thought were 3.8 supercharged (GTP,FWD regal) injectors, they made it sound like they bolted right in.Maybe someone here knows about this.

They probably would bolt into the LS1 fuel rail, but I'm using the truck fuel rails/intake with the "stubby" injectors. The only choices that I've found so far are:
*stock 8.1 injectors
*AS&M 43#/hr injectors = $52 EACH
*Racetronix flow matched, coming soon, no price
I would really prefer to stay with a stock-style injector, and I'm definitely staying with the truck intake/fuel rails.
Any other ideas? For my target HP, I should need a 36#/hr or so injector, and I can't seem to find anything within +/- 5#/hr of this number.

Yes, these injectors will support well over 500HP on a LS1 running at 58PSI.

3.77 g/s as per an LS1 edit file I saw for the 8.1. Which would equate to roughly 30.15 lb/hr at our 4 bar fuel pressure. You can use those numbers to calculate the amount of horsepower they will support. Remember to keep duty cycle below 80% and use a reasonable BSFC. rceng injector worksheet
My guess why nobody answered is because it has been covered so many times. Search the archives and you would have had an answer long ago.
