Any more luck figuring this path to awsomeness out?

Yeah I haven't heard anything out of the L8T yet. I thought it was supposed to be this huge deal especially for GEN V guys so you could have a stroker crank for cheap or a supposedly stronger iron block 6.6 liter for cheap. There's been no word that I've heard of on these yet and all that was over a year ago.

Nope. Worry about it in 20 years when the aftermarket gets its head out of its *** and catches up. LT engines are still pretty new at only 8 years old now... lol. The only thing I see interesting for the 6.6 specifically is the accessory drive setup. Unlike the cars and half tons they have a conventional LS style waterpump, powersteering pump and alternator brackets. Plus no stupid vacuum pump. Easy way to get parts to do an LT swap with all oem equipment.

The price on that crankshaft went through the roof and pistons are non existent so it's honestly simpler to get a 3.9" stroke crank kit from whoever and go that route.

Lol, funny...but it won't happen. In 20 years, the aftermarket will only have progressed a few years. The manufacturers are leaving them behind at an increasing pace. You can thank Elon Musk.

Well a few years is all they have to progress. They are okay through 2013 lol...A 2014 model year direct injected unit is just fine. Not to mention its pistons and crankshafts here...not exactly rocket science. Demand is what will sway things here.

Yeah unfortunately, I hope this isn't the case, but it looks like our hobby and fun could be gone in a few years thanks to Elon and all his do-gooder followers. I have a lot of extreme doubts about all his claims, but then again what's the point if some kid and every other kid out there has a new tesla that "supposedly" runs 9s and goes 0-60 in 2 seconds and "supposedly" lasts 1 million miles with no maintenance and tracks everything you do so It can make better decisions for you that you can?
