A mail order or dyno tune, either will work. Tranny should survive for a while as long as you don't beat on it too hard. A transgo shift kit and upgraded servos would be a wise and relatively cheap investment. Your stock rear end will be fine, just don't go out and do a bunch of dough nuts.

if you get really lucky a servo, shift kit, tranny cooler trany MIGHT last... and the rearend MIGHT last, yes if u dont beat on them...but 99% of ppl who are gonna do this swap are gonna beat on the truck alittle, thats why they do the swap..

Don't forget to swap out your flexplate (make sure the 4L80E spacer comes out with the old 6.0 one) or you will be needing a new transmission in about a day.

Your flexplate will work just fine if you get an LQ9 or a LQ4 out of a denali. If it comes out of a 2500HD or van then you'll need the flexplate. Also, your trans and rear end will be fine. Ive been on my bone stock trans for a year with the 6.0. I dont drive it too hard though.

You can car your pcm to the dealer and have it flashed fairly cheap.

Flexplate, automatic transmission version of flywheel. It is bolted to the rear of the crankshaft and the torque converter is bolted to it. Just re-use your current one
