Default 6.0L swap....

Alright I'm about to do my 6.0 swap into my rcsb gmc with the 4.8 and was wondering if the 6.0 would start with stock computer. I called the guys at MTI and they told me that everything would pulg up and that the motor would run. He said he didnt know how well it would run but he said it would start.

it will run (at least that is what I have heard around here), but probley not that great. All of the tables for VE need to be changed in order to compesate for the extra liters of air running through it.

It will start and run. I think you may have to swap flywheels on the motors and you should be good to go. Im still having a time getting a 6.0 file to check out with Edit. Im still looking into what Im gonna need to change.

I'm gonna have to swap flywheels any way. I guess im gonna be putting my motor together and putting it in my truck this weekend. I was gonna go with a just a cam since the motor isn't in the truck but I'm just gonna wait on that. I'll be starting school at S.A.M. tuesday, so i'll just save my money till schools done with( 9 months long) and by then I'll know what direction to go with on my motor. I remeber talking to you guy about a big cam a while back and waiting is the best thing to do right now.

It should start and run ok. It will really wake up with a tune, but I'd say mid 14's for a 2wd, high 14's for a 4x4??
