6.0l questions?????
#1
Well, I think I screwed up!
I sold my 5.3l that my dealer replaced (broken pistons remeber) and I decided to take it out and sell it (rather easy) and install my new 6.0l denali motor (fairly easy) wait a minute it wont start- **** I F***ed something up-
Anyone now if there is a trick with the computer or something that I am missing??? If I have to take this back to the dealer (1 week after they worked on it) they are going to kill me. Any advice will be helpful-

Well Ben, it never stops with you. hehehe
Give us some symptoms. Does it try to turn over? Is the starter hooked back correctly?
Fuel lines? Coil packs? Did you put a cam in it?
I need more info.

No trick with the computer.
Check all fuses. It's easy to pinch a wire under a bracket or something, and then when you key up, the fuse blows.
Do you hear the fuel pump run for 2 seconds when you turn the key on?
Did you get ALL of the ground lugs re-attached?
Did you plug the crank sensor back in? It's kind of hidden behind the starter.
Lots of little things can do it.
Good luck. Should be a nice step up.

Big Tex,
Sometimes it is just the little things. My Viper alarm/starter was not hooked up correctly in 2 places (to the purple wire on the coil pack and a relay was unplugged to the starter) After going through this all seems well-
There is a cam that my mechanic "Glen the man" (who works for Skoal cash and women) put in while my motor was waiting around to be put in. He is going to get me more info on it, but sid it was not crazy just better than the stock one-
It is good to have the truck back. Any ideas on an intake? Was'nt someone making a dual intake?

Glad its working. If you buy an intake, get a UPD. www.ultimatepd.com If you have electric fans, I can give you a $12 parts list from home depot for a 4" PVC intake that possibly works better than any others. It just wont fit with the stock fan and shroud in place. I went with the PVC intake and spent the intake money on electric fans.
How do you like your exhaust? Nice touch with the tips. Those are unique.
