Default 6.0L and engine covers/ LQ4 LQ9 Question Pictures

Which plat forms got the full engine cover for the 6.0L? I have a 2003 2500HD and it only has the center cover, not a full center/left/right. So which got the full? Was it just the Denali 2500's or Escalades?

How can you tell externally if its an LQ4 or LQ9?

I dont think you can tell externally the difference unless you take the heads off and view the pistons.

Ryan do you know what the engine came out of?
Maybe you could do a cranking compression check and compare it to a known engine.

So, there is NO way to tell, with out knowing the donor vehicle.... So, what came with the LQ9?

Chevy SS trucks
Caddy Escalade
