No doubt, I am werking with a dipstick with that is burnt off right at the correct fill line indicator... HAHAHAHAHA..


They area pain and but you need to give it a hefty turn and tug..

Default What is the diameter for the oil dipstick tube?




will either of these work for a plug until I get the LS billet dipstick plug?

That grommet is for the transmission fill tube. It's MUCH bigger than the engine dipstick tube. The one for the engine just has that little O-ring like you can see on your old one.

Not sure what you're asking here. You don't really need a "plug"; you need a dipstick tube. The AC Delco part will work. Not positive if it's EXACTLY the same length as your old one, but if it is (which is likely but not guaranteed), you can use your existing dipstick with it. Otherwise you'll need to get a new stick, or mark yours, or something.

I deal with these shitty iron ones that are rust goblins a fair amount. Basically just deal with the fact the tube will be garbage and you need a new one after. Try and break it off in the hole if possible. Once you have it broken punch it through into the oilpan.... you can fish it out with a magnet through the drain hole.
