Hey all,

I posted the other day about a deal I had offered to me on an 8.1/Ally and I was going to add a Whipple. I scrapped that and now plan on ordering an 2006 with a 6.0 and adding an STS within a year of getting it (I'd like to drive it stock for a while just to make sure there aren't any issues before I add the turbo).

I don't tow, so the low end grunt from a SC doesn't mean a lot to me. As time goes on and more funds become available, I want to keep making the truck faster. From what I've read, the turbo gives you some more flexibility here.

I'm going to see my dealer next week and get the ordering done. SLT 2500HD ECLB 4x4 with sunroof.... can't wait. There's time for someone to talk me out of it though... Anyone?

 

sounds good...2500's are bad *** with boost...good luck...

 

make sure you get a verter and beef up the trans....

 

Yeah, the TC and building up the trans will come right around the same time I add the STS. Maybe just a little bit after, but not much.

 

just have them put in a shift kit and be done with that trans. that 80e will handle a lot of power.
