ie a new wiring harness and the need to buy a motor complete top to bottom, front to back, side to side etc. those are hard to come by and normally get a premium price. shortblocks are everywhere

i have no need to swap to the 80e but if you do a search theres alot of threads about whats needed for the 80e swap...

try searching 4l80e swap...you should find some lins in those threads. a mild 6.0 setup can get away with a well built 4l60-4l65e setup. look up FLT transmissions.

i dont know how "mild" i will be with a cam, port and polish, intake, headers, ORY pipe, exhaust. plus i have heard bad stories about the 60e. would it safely hold with a shift kit and servos. i plan on towing up to about 5k lbs. and what kinda 1/4's can i expect with cammed 6.0 with intake headers exhaust 4.10s and tune?

thats alot to tow on a performance setup IMO. minus the towing thats a badass/more than mild setup setup...theres forced induction/nitrous guys on the larger motors with the small transmissions holding up...a shiftkit and servo wont hold it though. it will need to be a fully built transmission. honestly i dont know how my transmission has held so far but i still dont trust it.

4l80e is a good insurance plan but comes at a cost

whats the cost of a built 60e compared to stock 80e? i cant have the downtime since this is my DD. but a modded 6.0 sleeper as a DD will be awesome! interested to know about what i can expect to run though? mid 12's would be great!

look up ap 2002 and gtols1silverado...i just know of them because they are local to me...im sure theres alot more. i want to say they both have the same builder... ap cuts high 1.6 60' in his ecsb and gto sprays outa the hole in a 11.9x ecsb and so far they are holding(who know how long they will hold). they arent the norm though...just examples. the 4l80 is definately stronger though.

FLT has an excellent reputation...hit up vince and he can recomend what you need better.
