It took me and a buddy 45 min. to have my 4.8l out and on the stand, my time consuming part was switching acc, and the tranny.

I know a guy with a 6L and 4l80 that gets 20 mpg highway. I think your fuel economy is more related to the truck (ride height, gearing, tires, weight) than the engine.

It only hurts going in, once it's in there it feels real good...

Not that bad, but ya shouldn't want to do performance mods, then worry bout your Mpg inmo... All the acc off the other engine will work on the 6.0
