i have a 4.8 which is not good enought right now. im wanting to swap in a 6.0 either a lq4 or a lq9. but i wanna forge it for i can put the procharger i currently have and let it boost up to 15.
what am i going to need for the swap and what do yall guys recomend.

the trans will bolt up (if the crank is an 02+) but I can take a wild guess and say it wont last. Do a search on forge pistons for the 4.000" bore.

the swap will bolt right in, harness and everything. You will need a 6.0 tune flashed in to the PCM and then start from there.

the pistons should be fine.. if the timing is conservative.. but the trans prolly wont be too enthused about the new found power..

how about a lil more info on your truck.. all we know is it has a 4.8..
