How much would i expect to pay for the engine? Are most of you getting them from junkyards? Nothing extra to buy, everything from the 5.3 goes on the 6.0 no problem?

I got mine for $1150 shipped. 2004 LQ4 with 33,000 miles

 

you'll be looking for a 2001+ 6.0L (will have aluminum heads) and you should expect to pay anywhere from $1,000 and up depending on where it's located and it's condition.

it's a direct bolt in swap, however don't be surprised when your transmission hates you shortly afterwards (unless it happens to be a freak)
