Default 6.0 swap???

Ok Now Let Me Get The Low Down On This Swap. What All Do I Have To Do To Get This Done . I Have A 4.3 V6 And I Want To Put In A 6.0. Now How Hard Is This? Is The Wiring A Pain In The ***. And How Much Down Time And Money?? Help Would Be Great.

You will have to buy or fabricate some motor mounts, assuming GM did not the change motor mounts on the V6, you will need a different tranny, new computer and harness, radiator, fuel pump and a lot of little stuff to get it running. Time could take up to 6 months to a year. Money wise you will be better off buying a RCSB with a 4.8 and dropping a 6.0L in it, since the 4.8 and 6.0 are pretty much the same engine, just a different setting in the ECM.

you shouldn't need a tranny or comp. just have your computer tuned. buy a complete motor from a salvage yard. 2000.00 motor mounts 60.00 ratiator 160.00 shroud 50.00 fuel pump 55.00 tune 75.00 other nick nack **** 200.00

You can get a 6.0 for a hell of alot less than $2000 if you look. Mine was only $1250 complete. Stock 4L60 wont hold to the power either. So look forward to getting a built unit.
