Default 6.0 mods

Does anybody have a clue what kind of performance and sound a MTI C2 224/224 .581/.581 112 cam would do in a stock 6.0l with ls1 ported heads. Just bought the motor and looking for a cam to stick in it. Also the motor will be fully tunned at mti in houston.
Thanks
-vic

I bought that exact cam to put in my El Camino project, which has an LQ4 6.0. I think it would have been a great cam for it. We decided to go with FI so we had to go with a different cam. If you are interested I would sell it to you for less than MTI, it is still new in the box. PM me if you are interested.

LS1 ported cams?

Anyway, get some Comp 918 springs or better yet a set of Crane dual springs to go along with that cam. Stockers arent gonna cut it at .581 lift.

I think you could snake a T-Rex in a 6.0 and be ok. But thats a pretty nasty cam!! 242/248 .608/.612 110LSA

Yeah that t rex isn't a friendly daily driver cam thats for sure. It will talk alot of tuning.

I didnt say it was a great DD cam. Its gonna need a stall to work well. He said big, and only one cam came to mind. Actually 2. The T-Rex and the Ron Jeremy cam. Either will be fairly hefty cams. My friends got a T-Rex in his TA with an SS4000. Makes its power up top thats for sure.

Ron Jeremy (F15 cam) 236/239 .600/.611 111LSA
