Default 6.0 into 2000 gmc pickup which year will fit?

I cannot remember for the life of me which year model 6.0's will not fit into these pickups, something about the crank being longer on certain year models if I remember right. Can someone please enlighten me.
thanks in advance.

99-00, they had different cranks which will not bolt up to the 60-e. They also had iron heads. If you get an 80-e, I think all you have to do is not use the crank spacer on those engines.

I beleive so. Do a search for "iron heads" or "longer crank" and see what you come up with. I don't have any first-hand knowledge, just what I've picked up off of this site!
