I've owned both.... you'll need a lot more hp mods than the SS just to keep up. But, getting a custome tune instead of the Diablo would be a good place to start.

Diablo Tunes aren't bad for the price. Go on the DiabloSport website and go to the Forum there, and Mikel or Johan will make you a custom tune, usually FREE. Mikel is a great mechanic and tuner, and Johan works for Diablo.

OH YEA, get rid of the Bosch +4 plugs, They are good, but not in the GM motors.

how mcuh would you say a cam install would cost? i can do alot of things myself but i think that would be above my head

Depending on the year, if it is pre 05 the connecting rods are beefier in the lq9. If it is 05-after only diff is pistons lq9 flat tops- lq4 dished. Heads are the same.
