Would there be any gain, if any, by installing a stock 6.0 cam in a 5.3?

How about 6.0 heads in a 5.3, how much hp?

What if you both, the heads and cam?

 

it would definately flow more but as far as a HP gain prolly not much cause your compression ratio will drop ALOT now 6.0 heads with FI you would be able to boost the whole shiite out of it

 

I think the cams are the same...you could gain much more by going w/ an aftermarket grind or even an 02+ LS6 cam/springs.

 

the last time i went to the dealership and asked about the cams in the 4.8 5.3 6.0
They were all under one that is 1 order number for a replacement.
All 3 motors run the same cam.
The 4.8 and the 5.3 have the same heads.
the 6.0 cost more and have better flow

 

The cams are the same accross the board.
